Advanced First Aid – Recertification Course (formerly OFA Level 3 Recertification)

Note: Participants require a valid Advanced First Aid (completed prior to Nov 1, 2024) or Occupational First Aid Level 3 Certificate to take this course.

Course Description and Goals

• Recertification for the Advanced First Aid (formerly OFA Level 3) Course will refresh the skills and protocols needed to safely provide first aid in all environments and workplaces in half the time of a regular Advanced First Aid course.
• Our renewal program is a 36-hour intensive course specially designed for Advanced First Aid certificate employees. During class the students work in a supervised environment with practical examples through scenarios and reviews.
• Unlike the regular 2 week course, the WorkSafeBC approved Advanced First Aid Recertification is light on theory, and focusses on the more practical segments.
• Our Advanced First Aid course (Recertification program) includes all the books and materials required to attend the classes.
• Also included in this class is a Redcross CPRA ticket.

If you or your employees still hold a current Level 3 certificate (not expired) but need to refresh the knowledge, or renew their OFA3 Certification soon. Recertification will suit you well, but also help you save time and money!

Fee

The Advanced First Aid Recertification’s fee is $675.

Duration

The Advanced First Aid Recertification is a 1-week long program.

Note

Companies should refer to WorkSafeBC (formally WCB) OHS Guidelines G#17 to determine the level of first aid for your business. Schedule 3-A for the minimum level of first aid.
