This Production Loader Operator training course has been designed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely undertake work activities that involve the operation of a Large Wheeled Loader.

The goal of this course is to help you understand what a Large Wheeled Loader operator responsibilities are and to help you understand how to manage those responsibilities to protect your health and safety and the health and safety of your co-workers.

This Production Loader Operator course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations.

We will achieve this through discussion and by participating in skills practice and operator performance evaluation.

This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding;

• Identify the Components, Controls and Safety Equipment on a Typical Large Wheeled Loader.
• Describe the Uses of a Large Wheeled Loader.
• Perform Pre-start Inspection and Maintenance Procedures.
• Explain Safety Rules for Operating a Large Wheeled Loader.
• Start, Warm up, Shut Down and Refuelling Considerations.
• Perform Basic Manoeuvres and Basic Earthmoving Operations with a Large Wheeled Loader.
