This Motorized Pallet Jack Operator training program has been designed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely undertake work activities that involve the operation of a Motorized Pallet Jack.

The goal of this course is to help you better understand what a Motorized Pallet Jack operator responsibilities are and how to manage those responsibilities to protect your health and safety and the health and safety of your co-workers.

This Safe Handling of Pallets and Skids course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations.

We will achieve this through discussion and by participating in skills practice and operator performance evaluation.

This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding;

• Motorized Pallet Jack Features and Safety Equipment.
• Stability, the capacity plate and Location.
• Pre-operational Inspection.
• Operating and Travelling, with and without a Load.
• Pedestrians.
• Load Handling.
• Ramps and Grades.
• Workplace Specific Hazards.
• Procedures for Parking, Shut Down, and Recharging.
